Project Rochford has been postponed

By Sutton Road

As a result of the latest measures announced by the prime minister on 23 March 2020 to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19, we will be postponing our work and closing down our operations until further notice.

In line with the government’s approach, we will review the situation in three weeks and take appropriate advice at that time. As soon as we have an update on resuming our work, we will provide further updates.

Welcome to your updates for Sutton Road

By Sutton Road

Work on Sutton Road will be complete in a number of phases.

We will be starting the first phase of work on Monday 11 May 2020 to replace approximately 525m of existing gas pipe on Southend Road and Sutton Road.

Our traffic management will be installed from the Anne Boleyn roundabout approximately 120m in each direction. The section on Southend Road will incorporate two-way traffic lights whilst Sutton Road will be closed. It is estimated that this traffic management will be in situ for approximately seven weeks. During this time, vehicles up to 7.5T will be diverted via Ravenswood Chase, King Henry’s Drive, Sutton Court Drive and Warwick Drive. HGVs will have to follow an alternative diversion route. Our traffic management system will guide all traffic in the direction it needs to travel.

We will publish further information on a regular basis in order to keep you up to date with what is happening.
