From the 15 June we’re returning to customer-facing work… and we’d like to let you know what we’re going to do and how we’re going to do it.
In the period after the government has eased the COVID-19 lockdown, we recognise that you may have concerns about our teams working in your street and your home so we’d like to provide you with some reassurance.
Your safety is our number one priority. If our engineers need to come into your home to complete work, they will maintain a safe two-metre separation and will ask to open windows in the room where they are working. As a minimum they will wear extra personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes eye protection, nitrile gloves and a mask on top of their usual safety wear. They will also ensure they work as efficiently as possible, and clean up after themselves.
We have briefed and trained our teams on how to carry out their work and how to conduct themselves in the current environment. We’ll be continually reassessing our approach to ensure we remain up to date and compliant with the latest government guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Alternatively you can find more information on the cadent website www.cadentgas.com/coronavirus
We are a gas engineering business working in partnership with Cadent to improve the supply of gas to millions of people living and working in North London and the East of England.
We are a joint venture organisation, owned by Morrison Utility Services and Skanska UK specialising in the delivery of design and contracting services for the UK’s gas distribution network – replacing old mains, laying new ones, installing new connections to houses and commercial premises and helping with emergency response services.
But at the end of the day, the work we do is not just about engineering and numbers – it’s about sustaining and improving the quality of people’s lives.
This is our purpose. And we take immense pride in what we do and how we do it. Our ultimate aim is to ensure we provide the best possible service to our customers.
We hope you enjoy learning a little more about us on our website. If you have questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
